Update Instructions:
- If PepTool, GeneTool, or ChromaTool are running, close them. If you are running a PepTool 2 License Server, please stop the server.
- On UNIX systems, ensure that you have write permission to the PepTool, GeneTool, or ChromaTool directory.
- Download the Update for your platform and save it to your hard drive (do not unzip this file).
- From the PepTool, GeneTool, or ChromaTool directory, run the appropriate update program: PT-Update, GT-Upgrade, or CT-Update.
- When prompted for an update filename, click on the browse button and select the file you have downloaded (for example, gt5-win.bfx).
- Once the update is completed, you may start the appropriate program and the patch will be in place. If you were running a PepTool 2 License Server you will have to start the server before running PepTool.
Please note:
- If you are running Mac OS 8.6 or higher, it is recommended that you restart your computer before and after applying the update.
- If you apply the same update more than once, you may receive an error message while updating, but your distribution will not be damaged.
