If you cannot start the GT-Update program on Windows or Mac, you will need to download an additional patch to fix the update facility.

Update Instructions:

1. Download the following file (depending on your platform) and save them to the main GeneTool folder.
   • Mac: Mac-Updater-Fix.bin
   • Windows: Windows-Updater-Fix.exe
   
   
2. Make certain the program is in your main GeneTool folder, and run the downloaded programs. On Macs choose the Extract button, on Windows it will run automatically.
   
   
3. You can now delete the downloaded program.
   
   
4. Go back to the updates page download the GeneTool 2 update and proceed as per the instructions on that page.
